Finally: real travellers!
Shopping from now on ...
Today we went shopping into Salé by taxi. An old mercedes with windows that open by turning a handle! Quite an experience for our children that only know the digital era... While we transport groceries, others transport sheep (it's almost "la fête des moutons" 😌 - click on the picture to make it bigger 😜).
Negotiating taxi fares, shopping by backpack, buying a simcard for some gigabytes... This is sooooo different from our previous life. Now we feel like real travellers!

To compensate for the less interesting day for Louise and Anna, we got them an ice cream at the playground.
Ah I forgot to tell you that shopping with the girls is like being around two stars! In the mall they had at least 8 people touching their hair, giving them kisses and asking us to make a selfie with them.
A stroll at sundown along the marina and river entrance ...
Visit of Australian couple
While we left Europe quite quickly, the other boats with children that will also cross the Atlantic are still in the Mediterranean or just snoozing and really taking their time to go South... This means that we feel a bit "alone" and we are wondering when the other "bateau copains" will arrive... It's not that we are already fed up with each other or have nothing left to say 😌😋 It's just that you like to share your adventures and ask other long time travellers for their advice, experiences and clues to make your boat a more pleasurable home 👌 And the bonus of children goes without explaining off course!
Another catamaran checked in just behind us. We jumped on the occasion to get acquainted and invited them over for an apero which off course lead to dinner. Philippe and Geraldine are very sweet and interesting people. Geraldine made a wonderful dinner to go with the drinks and they could give us new stories and ideas to think about. Travelling between boats, even in the marina, is faster with Bob (our dinghy).

The last visit in Rabat: a day for the two minions!
With a 25' metro trip to the final station and a 5' taxi ride we arrived at the National Zoo of Rabat.
Another bonus of travelling is that you can plan your trips on days when children go to school. Needless to say that we were almost alone, which was great!
It's not the zoo where you can see all animals living in a dream environment, however most off them have a really nice playground. As Geoffrey told me, it's great to see an elephant, giraffe, antilope, ... in a more natural climate (even if it's in the zoo😎).

To end this day in beauty we went to the Rosegardens of the Sofitel in Rabat. Apparently a must see and I agree that it was very nice, however I prefer these kind of hotels when we are invited by others 😜
We feel ready to do our first small crossing alone. It's nice on the continent but it's time to move on. Canary Islands: here we come! As we left La Rochelle with fireworks, we were spoiled again with the most amazing airshow just above our heads and fireworks in the evening !
Ciao continent!
Almost time to change flags again...
